Hillsboro - Stephen M. Davis, 71, former Hillsboro resident, died Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he underwent an operation last Tuesday. He was born in Hillsboro, the son of Stephen and Charlotte Keller Davis. He married Edna Warfield. Davis was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Hillsboro and Shrine in Indianapolis. He was a registered pharmacist, a graduate of Purdue and formerly operated a drugstore in Waynetown for a number of years. He became a public accountant after moving to Indianapolis and had returned to that city from Pheonix, AZ where he had been since last June because of his health, only 10 days ago.
